Summary
Aaron shares an update about big changes in his life. He and Rah moved to Arizona, and they’re really happy there. He’s been doing more solo touring while his main band isn’t on the road. The recent tour had some challenges, including a situation where some of his gear went missing, but he handled it and kept going. He’s working on new solo music, helping finish the next Gemini Syndrome record, and continuing to produce for other artists. Overall, he feels grateful—for his home, his family, his dogs, his studio, and the support of his fans. He’s excited about the future and plans to post more updates.
If you’re reading this, then you have signed up on my website and for that I thank you. It’s been quite the journey to get here and I couldn’t be more proud of the work myself and my team have put in to get this thing off the ground.
A lot has happened in the last year or so. We moved to Arizona recently and it is possibly the best decision I’ve made in recent memory. All the love to Las Vegas but after ten years, it just wasn’t for me anymore and I can tell you already that Rah and I are flourishing here. The weather is lovely, the people are even more lovely, the house we are in is lovely. Everything is lovely.
You may have noticed I’ve been doing some solo stuff lately. While the Gemini camp doesn’t have any current plans to tour, which is fine, I will absolutely continue to tour and remain as active as I am able. We tested it with A Killer’s Confession last year and have now done 2 tours with Scotty Austin and Peter Dante. I look forward to doing more and there are some opportunities on the horizon as well. We will keep you posted.
As for the last run, Night One gave me a crash course in what happens when your green room turns into a grab-and-go. I won’t rehash the saga (those who know, know) but watching karma speed-run the aftermath was… educational. So here’s the free wisdom: be decent, don’t treat the backstage like a free-gear-buffet, and if you’re a local band, maybe hang out until the headliner finishes. It keeps the universe from taking notes.
Other than being freezing cold in the midwest during November and witnessing some drunken hijinx, it was mostly a success. It’s a trip to try and find your way in new places after so many years of experiencing things in a particular fashion. It’s challenging to go into battle, so to speak, alone. But I’m here for it. I see good things coming from it and I will continue to push forward.
In the meantime, as I prepare to record a bunch of solo music, continue getting this next Gemini record released, continue to produce and get new clients, I am thankful for so many things. I’m grateful that you’re here and care enough about what I do to follow me here. Thank you.
I’m thankful for a home, a family, great dogs, a good home studio, the know-how to use it, and an incredible team of people helping me to not suck. Opportunities are knocking, and the future is looking bright. Except when it’s raining, which it was for the last five days, which was awesome.
I look forward to sharing more of these in the future. Hopefully my brand enchantress will keep the fire to me so we can make blog posts in some sort of reasonable schedule. Because if it’s anything like my journal habits when I was young, well, let’s just say I was not a consistent journalist in my youth. Here’s to teaching older humans new tricks.
Thankful for you all. Please have a wonderful holiday and keep your eyes peeled for more blogs and updates.
In chivalry,
Aaron
