Woyote: Where Instinct Meets Intention

Woyote is a hard rock project formed by guitarist, songwriter, and producer Mikey Doling—known for his work with Snot, Soulfly, and Channel Zero. With multiple gold records, international tours, and decades of experience shaping heavy music, Doling launched Woyote as a new chapter in his creative evolution: raw, human, and unapologetically alive.

The band took shape at the end of 2019, when Doling began writing with Jari De Roover. Their chemistry led to the addition of Quentin Cornet on guitar, Sebastiaan Verhoeven on bass, and Charles Degolla on drums. Once the music began to roar, they set out to find the right voice. That search led to Aaron Nordstrom of Gemini Syndrome, a longtime friend and former collaborator. Doling had produced Gemini years earlier, and the two immediately recognized a shared pulse in their creative approach.

Working with producer Chris Collier (Korn, Prong), Doling and Nordstrom began shaping a sound that honors rock’s primal roots while pushing toward something cinematic and modern. Their first track, “Alternate Reality,” introduced Woyote to the world with the urgency of artists who know time is precious. Follow-ups like “Atlas Shrugged” and “Save Me” expand that vision—songs driven by emotion rather than trend, anchored in honesty rather than formula.

For Woyote, rock and roll remains sacred ground: a place where sincerity, craft, and intensity converge. As Doling puts it, “We’re not here to rewrite what’s already been done. We’re here to deliver something real.”
