Where Duality Becomes Sound: The Journey of Gemini Syndrome

Gemini Syndrome is an American alternative metal band formed in Los Angeles in 2010. The current lineup features vocalist Aaron Nordstrom, drummer Brian Steele Medina, bassist Alessandro “AP” Paveri, and guitarist Miguel “Meegs” Rascón.

The band’s catalog traces a clear arc: the debut Lux (2013), the sophomore Memento Mori (2016), and 3rd Degree – The Raising (2021). Together, these releases map a conceptual journey that many fans experience as a trilogy—an initiation told across records and stages. Lux introduced the sound; Memento Mori expanded it and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart; 3rd Degree – The Raising completed the sequence.

At the heart of Gemini Syndrome is a preoccupation with duality—light and dark, creation and decay, the seen and unseen. Even the name gestures to “the twins” and the friction that forges growth, a theme the band has discussed openly in interviews.

Across tours and studio work, Gemini Syndrome’s sound blends weight and melody—hard-hitting rhythm, atmospheric guitars, and a vocal approach that moves from intimate to immense. The story continues onstage and in the studio, where the band’s evolving chapters remain anchored by that core tension: darkness examined, then illuminated.
